Wisconsin man gets probation for meth

A Wisconsin man linked to two different methamphetamine operations run by his wife has been sentenced to probation on two drug charges.

Richard Wurzinger Jr., 32, pleaded guilty Tuesday to being a party to the crime of possession of methamphetamine and being a party to the crime of possession of marijuana as a subsequent offender, stemming from a search conducted at his town of Dewey home, according to court records. He was sentenced to 54 months of probation on each count.

He is an inmate at Fox Lake Correctional Institution, where he is serving a sentence for his role in a Waupaca County, Wisconsin methamphetamine operation run by his wife, Colleen Wurzinger. Wisconsin police raided the lab in October 2002.
Wisconsin officers who searched the Wurzingers' 2412 Highway Y home in September 2003 found trace amounts of methamphetamine and equipment used in the drug-making process, criminal complaints said.

Wurzinger also pleaded guilty on Tuesday to theft, and he was sentenced to three years of probation for stealing an all-terrain vehicle, according to court records. As part of that sentence, Wurzinger was ordered to pay restitution of $338 to John Haapala, 1540 Torun Road.
